The Mavericks have signed center Marcus Bingham and shooting guard DJ Stewart Jr. to contracts ahead of training camp, the team announced in a press release.
While details weren’t announced, each player likely received an Exhibit 10 deal.
Stewart, 23, is 6-foot-5 and went undrafted out of Mississippi State in 2021. He spent last season with the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the Heat’s affiliate in the G League.
With the Skyforce, Stewart compiled averages of 17.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 36 games.
Bingham, 21, is 7-0 and spent all four seasons at Michigan State, averaging 9.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.2 blocks in 35 games in 2021-22. He was not selected in the 2022 NBA Draft.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a contract that counts toward the offseason roster limit of 20, but does not count toward the salary cap unless the player makes the team.
