NBA trade proposal sends Giannis Antetokounmpo to Warriors

File this under: Yeah, OK, now we’re talking.

A proposed blockbuster from Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report has the Warriors going all-in on Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, and not exactly being subtle about it.

The idea is simple: Pair Giannis with Stephen Curry and see what’s left of the dynasty tank. The price? Not exactly light.

Golden State would send Jimmy Butler, rising guard Brandin Podziemski, and four first-round picks to Milwaukee for Antetokounmpo.

Deep breath. From the Warriors’ side, you get it. Curry isn’t getting younger. The roster hasn’t been nearly good enough. If there’s even a whisper Giannis could be available, you make the call and worry about the bill later.

From the Bucks’ side, it only even enters the chat if Giannis signals he’s not signing an extension. That’s the whole thing. If he’s staying, none of this matters. If he’s not, Milwaukee has to listen.

Now, the fun part. A Curry-Giannis pairing? Come on. That’s video game stuff. Spacing, pressure, chaos. Pick your poison and probably still get burned.

But here’s the reality check: Butler is coming off a serious knee injury. Podziemski is nice, not a centerpiece. Four firsts sounds big until you realize you’re trading a top-three player in the world.

So yeah, it’s interesting. It’s aggressive. It’s very Warriors.

Is it enough? That depends on one man — and he doesn’t play in the Bay.
