The future of LeBron James remains one of the biggest unanswered questions of the NBA offseason.
Following the Lakers’ playoff exit, James acknowledged he has yet to decide whether he’ll return for another season, leaving plenty of room for speculation. Yes, again.
One recent scenario came from Bleacher Report’s Erik Pincus, who explored a hypothetical offseason in which James would leave Los Angeles and join the Warriors.

Under Pincus’ proposal, Golden State would sign James to a two-year deal beginning at the non-taxpayer mid-level exception. The scenario also includes the Warriors bringing back Kristaps Porzingis on a team-friendly contract.
To be clear, Pincus was not reporting that such a move is under consideration by either side. Rather, it was presented as a possible roster-building exercise based on Golden State’s financial flexibility and desire to maximize its remaining championship window.
Still, the idea is certain to generate discussion.
James and Stephen Curry have spent much of the past decade battling each other on the NBA’s biggest stage. The two future Hall of Famers finally shared the court as teammates during international competition, leading many around the league to wonder what a full season together might look like.
But as James recently explained, he plans to spend time with his family before determining what comes next.
Until then, speculation surrounding his future isn’t likely to slow down.
