The Suns are among the teams with trade interest in Rockets forward Kenyon Martin Jr., according to Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports.
Obviously, the Suns are looking to deal forward Jae Crowder, who remains away from the team. There’s no indication that Crowder would be headed to the Rockets, if the Rockets would even have an interest, or that the Suns and Rockets have even talked.
One thing we do seem to know is that Martin and Rockets management met over the summer and discussed the idea of Martin being traded, per Fischer.
The Trail Blazers and Heat also have an interest, Fischer added.
Martin, 21, is 6-foot-6 and appeared in 79 games last season, averaging 8.8 points and 3.8 rebounds. He has spent both of his NBA seasons with Houston after being selected by the Kings with the No. 52 overall pick in the 2020 draft.
