If anyone was expecting LeBron James to reveal his free-agency decision Thursday, they’ll probably leave Fanatics Fest disappointed.
In other words, yes, LeBron Watch 2026 marches on.
James spent much of the early portion of his live Mind the Game appearance with Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton doing exactly what he’s done throughout this process — keeping everyone guessing.

Haliburton even tried to get the answer everyone wanted at the start of the show. When the Pacers star attempted to ask James about his decision, James quickly smiled and shut it down.
“Didn’t we already talk about this in the back?” James replied, per ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.
Haliburton laughed, backed off and simply said, “I’ll leave it alone.” So much for that.
James later thanked the Lakers for the past eight seasons before looking ahead to whatever comes next.
“Shout out my former team,” James said. “I spent eight great years with the Los Angeles Lakers. … That was an unbelievable ride and I am looking forward to what comes next as I wind down my journey.
“It’s going to be fun wherever I land.”
Naturally, that only fueled more speculation.
At another point, James joked with the crowd about the seemingly endless rumors surrounding his future.
“I hear the Warriors,” he said with a smile. “I hear the Sixers.”
He also referenced recent comments from The Rich Eisen Show, where fill-in host Chris Brockman suggested the Heat would still be headed for the Play-In Tournament even if James signed there.
James appeared amused by the criticism, drawing laughs from the crowd.
As for basketball discussion, James and Haliburton spent time breaking down the Knicks’ championship run, with James pointing to OG Anunoby as one of New York’s biggest difference-makers.
The biggest question, however, remains unanswered. James still hasn’t said where he’ll play next season.
But judging by Thursday’s appearance, he certainly seems to be enjoying the suspense.
