Thunder signing Spencer Jones to two-year offer

Restricted free agent small forward Spencer Jones has agreed to a two-year, $12 million offer sheet with the Thunder, per Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

The Nuggets will have the opportunity to match the offer and retain Jones, given that he’s a restricted free agent. They must do so by Monday night.

Jones, 25, averaged 5.5 points and 3.3 rebounds in 64 games last season, shooting nearly 40 percent on threes. He showed marked improvement after appearing in just 20 games as a rookie in 2024-25.

The Thunder have traded Lu Dort, Andrew Wiggins and Isaiah Joe this offseason, clearing the way for a player such as Jones to receive increased opportunity. That is almost certainly to be the case for OKC returnees such as Cason Wallace, Ajay Mitchell and others. Whether Jones is possibly in that mix will now be up to the Nuggets.

Peyton Watson is another restricted free agent for Denver who is drawing interest.
