Free agent forward Jake Layman has agreed to a contract with Greek club Panathinaikos, per the RealGM transactions log.
Layman, 28, is 6-foot-8 and was waived by the Celtics on Oct. 15. He spent last season with the Timberwolves, his role decreasing throughout the season, averaging 2.4 points in 34 games.
He spent the first three years of his career with the Trail Blazers, then averaged a career-high 9.1 points in 2019-20 with Minnesota.
Originally drafted by the Magic out of Maryland (No. 47 overall, 2016), Layman has played 243 NBA games overall.
Former NBA guard Nate Wolters and forward Derrick Williams, the No. 2 overall pick in 2011, have also recently played for Panathinaikos.
