Anthony Edwards ordered to pay $14,000 per month in child support

Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has been ordered to pay $14,000 per month in child support for his son, according to TMZ.

The ruling involves Alexandria Desroches and their son Amir, who was born in 2023. Per TMZ, the amount was calculated in part using Edwards’ reported monthly income of approximately $4.8 million.

Edwards also was ordered to obtain a $2.6 million life insurance policy naming Desroches as the primary beneficiary.

During the proceedings, Edwards reportedly testified that he has never met the child and does not intend to take on a parenting role.

The order comes after he was directed last month to pay $3,222 per month in a separate child-support case involving Ayesha Howard and their daughter. He reportedly had already paid more than $100,000 in support beginning in 2025.

Edwards, 25, is entering the fourth season of a five-year, $244 million contract with Minnesota. He averaged a career-high 28.8 points last season while shooting 39.9 percent from three-point range.

The four-time All-Star is preparing for his seventh NBA season.
