Lakers star forward LeBron James has been ruled out of Monday’s road game against the Jazz with a sore left foot, the team announced.
James and the Lakers enter the game with a 2-7 record, experiencing many of the same issues they had last season, when the finished 33-49 and missed the playoffs (or play-in tournament).
James, however, has showed little signs of slowing down, sans this latest injury. It appears he has been suffering it for some time, on and off, for most of the early season.
In nine games, James is averaging 24.3 points, 8.9 rebounds and 7.1 assists. The Lakers will also be without guards Lonnie Walker IV and Patrick Beverley, who are both sick.
