Warriors sign Chance McMillian, Deivon Smith on Exhibit 10 deals

The Warriors have officially signed guards Chance McMillian and Deivon Smith to Exhibit 10 contracts, according to Paul Garcia of The Spot Up Shot.

Both players spent last season with Golden State’s G League affiliate in Santa Cruz, and the plan appears to be sending them back.

McMillian averaged 16.6 points and 5.0 assists in 31 appearances. Smith averaged 17.2 points in nine games while shooting 45 percent from the field and 39.3 percent on threes.

The Exhibit 10 deals allow each player to collect a bonus of up to $91,000 if he returns to Santa Cruz and remains there for at least 60 days.

So these aren’t likely additions to Steve Kerr’s rotation. They’re investments in the Warriors’ developmental pipeline.
