The Cavaliers have added a guard who shot 42.5 percent from three last season.
But before anyone starts rearranging the rotation, Sean McNeil is expected to return to the Cleveland Charge.
The Cavs signed McNeil to a non-guaranteed training camp contract, according to Paul Garcia of The Spot Up Shot.
The 28-year-old guard has spent the past two seasons with Cleveland’s G League affiliate. He appeared in 44 games last season, averaging 13.1 points while making 42.5 percent of his 4.7 three-point attempts per game.
McNeil played collegiately at West Virginia and Ohio State before going undrafted in 2023.
He’s unlikely to make Cleveland’s NBA roster, but every organization needs shooting available somewhere. Sometimes it keeps that shooting one phone call away in the G League.
