Raptors power forward Precious Achiuwa is out indefinitely after suffering partial ligament tears in his right ankle, the team announced in a press release.
It’s another blow for Toronto, which recently lost forward Pascal Siakam with an abductor strain.
“I think if you’re on the end of the rotation, your eyes should be big and your mouth should be watering ready to go out there and be hungry,” guard Fred VanVleet recently said, via Dave Feschuck of the Toronto Star.
Achiuwa, 23, is 6-foot-8 and averaging 8.8 points and 7.0 rebounds in 12 games this season. This is his third year in the NBA after being drafted by the Heat with the No. 20 overall pick in 2020.
He will wear a walking boot for the next 10 days, the team said.
