The Cavaliers are staying on their longtime radio homes.
The team announced a multiyear agreement with iHeartMedia that will keep its games on News/Talk 1100 WTAM and Rock 100.7 WMMS. The deal includes all preseason, regular-season and postseason games, along with pregame and postgame coverage.
Cavs broadcasts will also remain available through a statewide network of iHeartMedia stations serving Akron, Canton, Columbus, Dayton, Toledo, Youngstown and several other Ohio markets. Affiliates in Erie, Pa., and Parkersburg, W.Va., are included as well.
“We’re delivering the most accessible broadcast we’ve had in years,” Cavs chief marketing officer Chris Kaiser said. “An enhanced product matches that accessibility, and we are grateful for our partners, iHeartMedia, for helping make this possible.”
The agreement extends beyond the Cavs. The Cleveland Charge will continue to air on Real 106.1, while the Cleveland Monsters will remain on Sports Radio 99.1.
WTAM has served as the Cavaliers’ flagship station for most of the franchise’s history. The renewed agreement keeps that familiar arrangement in place while expanding the team’s reach throughout the region.
