Watching the Cavaliers this season is going to require a little more planning than simply flipping to one channel.
My longtime friend George Thomas of the Akron Beacon Journal put together an excellent full breakdown of the Cavs’ television and streaming options for the 2026-27 season.
The short version: DAZN will be the primary home for Cavs games, but it won’t be the only one.
DAZN is scheduled to carry 63 games, including Thursday’s preseason opener against the Celtics. The service currently offers monthly plans beginning at $19.99, along with season-long options.
Nationally televised games won’t appear on DAZN. The Cavs are scheduled for 17 national broadcasts this season across ESPN/ABC, NBC/Peacock and Prime Video.
There is also some good news for fans who still prefer old-fashioned over-the-air television.
Fifteen games are scheduled to be simulcast locally on WUAB or WOIO. Viewers using an antenna can receive those broadcasts without a streaming subscription, depending on reception in their area.
So yes, watching the Cavs in 2026-27 requires a little more homework than turning on Channel 43 and leaving it there.
George has the complete game-by-game list, pricing information and broadcast breakdown in his Beacon Journal guide, and it’s worth bookmarking if you plan on watching all season.
The Cavs open the preseason Thursday at 7 p.m. against the Celtics at Rocket Arena.
