The Spurs have waived guard Jon Elmore, according to NBA.com’s transaction log, with a move to their G League affiliate appearing likely.
Elmore joined San Antonio on an Exhibit 10 contract and appeared in four preseason games. He totaled five points and six assists in 38 minutes, shooting 2-of-8 from the field.
His next opportunity is expected to come with the Austin Spurs. That would keep him in the organization after getting a look with the NBA club during camp.
More roster moves:
- Raptors: Toronto signed former Cincinnati guard Jalen Celestine to an Exhibit 10 contract, according to Blake Murphy of Sportsnet. The Canadian went undrafted in June before playing for the Raptors at Summer League. He shot 38.9 percent from beyond the arc across five college seasons at Cal, Baylor and Cincinnati.
- Mavericks: Dallas waived Guillermo Diaz Graham on Friday, the team announced, following the same sign-and-waive route it took with his twin brother, Jorge. Both big men are expected to begin the season with the Texas Legends. Different contracts, same likely destination.
- Kings: Sacramento waived center David Muoka shortly after signing him to an Exhibit 10 deal, per NBA.com. Muoka averaged 5.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.0 block in 45 games for the Long Island Nets last season. Stockton acquired his returning rights earlier this month, making the Kings’ G League affiliate his expected next stop.
