Jazz make multiple roster moves

The Jazz have given Harrison Ingram a two-way contract and waived center Jonas Aidoo and guard Tamar Bates, bringing their roster into position for the regular season.

The team announced the cuts Saturday. Ingram’s conversion from an Exhibit 10 deal was reported by Keith Smith of Spotrac.

Bates had occupied a two-way spot, creating the opening for Ingram. Utah now has 14 players on standard contracts and three on two-way agreements.

Ingram, 23, spent his first two professional seasons on two-way deals with the Spurs after being selected 48th overall in 2024. He played just 61 NBA minutes across 12 games, but had a much larger role with Austin in the G League.

Last season, he averaged 16.6 points, 12.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.2 steals in 40 appearances. He followed that with 19 points and nine rebounds in 30 total minutes across four preseason games for the Jazz.

Bates signed a two-year, two-way deal in July but struggled during preseason, scoring three points on 1-of-8 shooting in three appearances.

Aidoo is expected to join the Salt Lake City Stars, who acquired his returning rights in August. His Exhibit 10 contract provides a $91,000 bonus if he spends at least 60 days with the affiliate.

No further cuts are required, though the Jazz can still make changes before Monday’s roster deadline.
