Knicks Would Want at Least a First-Rounder for Immanuel Quickley

It appears the Knicks are willing listeners when it comes to trade pitches for guard Immanuel Quickley, though they won’t just be giving him away.

Instead, they will want at least a first-round pick in exchange, according to Fred Katz of The Athletic.

Granted, the Knicks don’t seem to be shopping Quickley, and they clearly don’t feel as if they need to move him. But he is extension-eligible this offseason, and he would likely garner a nice return.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard rumors that New York may be looking to deal Quickley, either. The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported last week that the Knicks are willing listeners on both Quickley and fellow guard Derrick Rose.

Quickley, 23, is 6-foot-3 and off to a slower start — for him, anyway. He is averaging a career-low 9.1 points on a career-low 31 percent on 3-pointers, though the sample size of 18 games is small.

But the Knicks may be willing to move on from either Quickley or Rose, or both, “as a way to sort out the team’s glut at the guard position over the course of the season,” Charania wrote.
