The Nets have waived two-way shooting guard Alondes Williams, the team announced in a press release.
Williams, 23, is 6-foot-5 and has appeared in one game with the Nets this season as a rookie after going undrafted. He has spent the rest of his time with the Long Island Nets.
In 11 games with Long Island during the Showcase Cup, Williams averaged 9.9 points and 3.5 rebounds. But he struggled with his shooting, as well as with committing turnovers.
The Nets’ roster now stands at 16, with guard David Duke Jr. now being the team’s lone two-way player. So it is likely they will sign another here before too long.
