Raptors guard/forward Gary Trent Jr. is among the players on the Lakers’ radar ahead of the Feb. 9 trade deadline, per Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports.
“I don’t know if they’ve called Toronto and have had actual conversations about it,” Fischer said on his podcast featuring guest Marc Stein of The Stein Line.
Stein and others have reported that Trent is viewed as the Raptors’ most likely trade candidate.
Meanwhile, the Lakers are believed to be open to moving the likes of guards Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverley, as well as one of their next two trade-eligible first-rounders (2027 and ’29).
Trent, 24, is 6-foot-5 and is averaging 18.5 points on 45 percent shooting, including 37 percent on 3-pointers, in 44 games (through Saturday).

Too many teams to list, but plenty of trade discussion around the league: https://t.co/0iuyHWUGY5

While Trent is seemingly available, Stein wrote “I would not expect a broad fire sale” involving the Raptors at the deadline.
“I don’t know if the Raptors have this appetite to make trades that is hoped for by rival teams,” Stein added on Fischer’s podcast.
