The Spurs and Heat have officially announced the trade that will send Dewayne Dedmon and a 2028 second-round pick from Miami to San Antonio.
In return, the Heat are receiving cash considerations and cleared about $5 million to work into a trade or sign another player to a standard contract.

Dedmon, 33, is 7-foot-0 and has appeared in 30 games, averaging 5.7 points and 3.6 rebounds. This marked his third season with the Heat.
He has also spent time with the Hawks, Kings, Magic, Warriors and 76ers, and this will serve as his second stint with the Spurs, assuming he stays.
Per Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, the trade “affords the Heat space under the luxury tax to sign a replacement for Dedmon and another player (or convert Orlando Robinson to a standard deal).”
