Bucks star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered a sprained right wrist in Thursday’s road game against the Bulls and was forced to exit, per the team.
Antetokounmpo suffered the injury after chasing down Bulls guard Coby White on a fast break, blocking White’s shot. But Antetokounmpo then fell into the stanchion holding the basket and began clutching his wrist.
Depending on the severity of the sprain, the two-time NBA MVP very well could be out for Sunday’s All-Star Game in Utah. If he is out, commissioner Adam Silver will need to quickly pick a replacement.
Suns forward Kevin Durant and Warriors guard Steph Curry are other All-Star starters who are currently sidelined with injuries.
Giannis Antetokounmpo will NOT return to tonight’s game due to a right wrist sprain.
