The Knicks are signing guard/forward DaQuan Jeffries to a second 10-day contract, per Shams Charania of The Athletic. His first 10-day deal expired Tuesday night.
Jeffries, 25, is 6-foot-5 and has yet to appear in a game with the Knicks. He has, however, played for the G League’s Westchester Knicks this season. In 18 games with Westchester, he averaged 18.0 points and 6.0 rebounds, shooting 48 percent from the field.
Last season, Jeffries appeared in three games with the Grizzlies. He has also spent time with the Rockets and Kings since entering the NBA in 2019.
The Knicks will have to decide whether to sign Jeffries for the remainder of the season after the expiration of his current 10-day deal. Otherwise, he will re-enter free agency.
