The Nets have agreed to a contract with free agent guard/forward DeAndre’ Bembry, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Bembry is 6-foot-5 and spent last season with the Raptors, appearing in 51 games and averaging 5.7 points on 51 percent shooting. He made just 26 percent of his 3-pointers, but contributed greatlyt in the areas of pesky defense and energry.
He becomes the third veteran free agent signing for Brooklyn this offseason, joining guard Patty Mills (Spurs) and forward James Johnson (Pelicans).
Along with Bembry, Mills and Johnson, the Nets re-signed power forward Blake Griffin and guard Bruce Brown.
Bembry was the No. 21 overall draft pick in 2016 and spent the first four years of his career with the Hawks.
His deal with the Nets was not reported, but they can only afford minimum-salary contracts at the moment.
