The Bulls lost a biggie against the Hawks on Tuesday, but picked up a spot in the play-in tournament, anyway. That’s because the Magic also lost to the Cavaliers.
Barring anything unforeseen, the Bulls will end up as the 10th seed in the Eastern Conference. So they likely will have to win two games to get to the actual playoffs.
“We’re happy at least that we’re going to be in that,” center Nikola Vucevic said, via Jamal Collier of ESPN. “Obviously it hasn’t been the season so far we wanted. We were hoping to be higher in the standings, but it is what it is. It’ll give us an opportunity to get into the playoffs.”
Right now, the Bulls can try to correct some things and maybe make a run in the play-in to reach the actual playoffs, Vucevic added.
“There’s still three more games left,” he said, via Collier. “Obviously, we’re in a tough spot.
“We can continue to fight until the end. Continue to fight these next three games, focus on ourselves, try to play better and improve on the things we need to improve and go into the play-in and try to play the best we can.”
