Nets Converting David Duke Jr. Contract to Standard Deal

The Nets are converting the contract of guard David Duke Jr. to a standard contract, per Brian Lewis of the New York Post.

Duke, 23, is 6-foot-5 and has spent each of his first two NBA seasons on two-way deals. Brooklyn had room on the roster for the move after the expiration of center Moses Brown‘s 10-day contract, as Lewis noted.

Duke has appeared in 21 games, averaging 3.1 points and shooting 46 percent from the field. He played 27 games with the Nets as a rookie after going undrafted. Brooklyn signed him to a second two-way contract in September.

This year, he spent most of his time with the Long Island Nets of the G League, where he averaged 22.9 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.9 assists, finishing third in the G League MVP voting.
