Clippers star forward Kawhi Leonard is weighing his rehab options after suffering a torn meniscus in right knee, per Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report.
Leonard missed the final three games of the Clippers’ series against the Suns, all losses. The injury was originally listed as a knee sprain — but turned out to be more serious.
Phoenix won the series, 4-1, and advanced to play the top-seeded Nuggets.
Along with Leonard, the Clippers were without forward Paul George, also out with a knee sprain.
With previous major knee issues, it’s safe to say the future of Leonard making an impact is somewhat cloudy.
He led the playoffs in scoring through the first two games at 34.5 points.
