The 76ers have waived shooting guard Rayjon Tucker, the team announced in a statement.
Tucker, 23, is 6-foot-3 and signed a two-way contract with the Sixers earlier in the offseason. He also just finished a run with the Sixers’ summer team.
He appeared in 14 games last season, dividing his time between the 76ers and Delaware Blue Coats of the G League. He played 20 games with the Jazz in 2019-20.
Along with the Blue Coats, Tucker has spent time with the Wisconsin Herd and Salt Lake City Stars.
“It’s possible that Tucker accepted his qualifying offer from the Sixers, which would have been the equivalent of another two-way deal with a $50K guarantee,” wrote Arthur Hill of Hoops Rumors.
The move leaves Philadelphia with an open two-way spot. Undrafted rookie small forward Aaron Henry holds the other.
