Former North Carolina small forward Leaky Black will work out for the defending champion Warriors ahead of the 2023 NBA Draft, as relayed by Jeremiah Holloway of 24/7 Sports.
Black, 23, is 6-foot-9 and was viewed as one of the best defensive players in the ACC and finished second for the league’s Defensive Player of the Year award this past season. He made his workout with the Warriors known on his Snapchat account.
He played five years for the Tar Heels, taking advantage of the extra year of eligibility granted to players during the 2020-21 COVID season.
Originally recruited by Hall of Fame coach Roy Williams, Black started each of the past four seasons. He is viewed as a late second-round pick, or an undrafted free agent.
Whichever North Carolina player is drafted next will be the first of the coach Hubert Davis era.
