Point guard Tyrese Haliburton did everything he could to help the Pacers on the court this past season, and now he’s going to do the same off it.
That’s because Haliburton will represent Indiana on stage at the NBA Draft lottery on Tuesday, per Marc Stein of The Stein Line.
The big prize this season, of course, is none other than 7-foot-4 French center Victor Wembanyama, and the Pacers have a 6.8 percent chance of winning — or the seventh-best chance of anyone. They also have a 7.1 percent chance of placing second, a 7.5 percent chance at third, and a 7.9 percent chance at fourth.
After a strong start, the Pacers won just 12 of their final 41 games to finish 35-47. Haliburton was in his first full season with the franchise and made the All-Star team, averaging career-highs of 20.7 points and 10.4 assists in 56 games.
You can check out the full lottery odds below, as well as more on the Pacers’ offseason plans here.
The Pacers, I'm told, plan to have All-Star guard Tyrese Haliburton on stage as their lottery show representative Tuesday night.
