The Warriors brought in UCLA forward Jaime Jaquez for an individual workout ahead of the 2023 NBA Draft, per Anthony Slater of The Athletic.
The Warriors have one pick in the draft this year — No. 19. Jaquez is projected to be available then. Of course, this is the draft, and picks can always be acquired in trades, so the Warriors could potentially find a later spot to acquire Jaquez, or trade for him after he’s selected by another team.
Hoops Wire has Jaquez going to the Spurs at No. 33 overall in our latest mock draft.
The workout took place while the Warriors were announcing that head of basketball operations Bob Myers was stepping down on Tuesday, per Slater. It was overseen by Warriors director of college scouting Larry Harris and VP of basketball operations Mike Dunleavy Jr.
The Warriors have not named a successor to Myers, though several reports suggest it will be Dunleavy.
Jaquez is 6-foot-7 and averaged 17.8 points and 8.2 rebounds for the Bruins last season, shooting 48 percent from the field.
