Veteran NBA point guard Darren Collison is scheduled to work out for the Warriors this week, according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.
Collison, 33, is best known for his time with the Pacers, but retired at the end of the 2018-19 season. He has been considering a return to the NBA over the past year.
He recently worked out for the Lakers, as did Isaiah Thomas and Mike James, though LA is probably set at that spot after agreeing to a deal with Rajon Rondo.
Meanwhile, the Warriors are also looking to add some veteran depth behind Steph Curry and a presumably healthy Klay Thompson.
Golden State currently has 16 players under contract, but three of them don’t have guarantees — guard/forward Damion Lee, and point guards Gary Payton II and Mychal Mulder.
Collison has also spent time with the Kings, Clippers, Mavericks and Hornets. He averaged 11.2 points and 6.0 assists in 76 games in his last NBA season with the Pacers.
