The Bucks finished with the NBA’s best record this past season, but clearly, that wasn’t enough. They also lost in the first round of the playoffs, bounced by the eventual Eastern Conference champion Heat.
So Milwaukee, like most teams, will spend the offseason looking for upgrades. And perhaps for a major one if you’re the Bucks.
Per Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Bucks could be among the suitors for Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal, who is reportedly available.
Milwaukee’s path to a Beal trade, of course, would not be so easy. While they could offer forward Khris Middleton in a sign-and-trade scenario, Middleton may not be super appealing to the Wizards. So a third team would perhaps have to brought in.
The Heat are also expected to be a Beal suitor, as we relayed here. They might actually have the best shot at acquiring Beal, putting together a package centered around guard Tyler Herro (and matching salary).
Beal is still owed more than $207 million on his contract, which lasts through the 2026-27 season.
“Expect the Miami Heat to emerge as significant suitors for Bradley Beal… I’m told another team looming as a potential suitor…the Milwaukee Bucks.”
