The Timberwolves are signing Naz Reid to a three-year contract extension, agents Jeff Schwartz and Sean Kennedy told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Reid, 23, averaged career-highs of 11.5 points and 4.9 rebounds in 68 games this past season, shooting 54 percent from the field.
Per Wojnarowski, Reid’s three-year, $42 million extension includes a player option for the 2025-26 season.
Reid missed the final few weeks of the regular season with a fractured wrist, hich also cost him the play-in tournament and playoffs.
“The deal keeps Reid out of free agency and secures him to the franchise where he arrived as an undrafted one-and-done player and developed into an indispensable frontline performer,” Wojnarowski wrote.
