The Pacers are considering a three-year offer worth up to $48 million for Heat free agent forward Max Strus, per Marc Stein of The Stein Line.
Indiana is just one team interested in a Strus, a restricted free agent. The Cavaliers, Magic and Pistons are believed to be among the others. Multiple reports have suggested that Strus is unlikely to return to Miami, given how much other teams are willing to pay.
Meanwhile, the Heat are unlikely to spend the money to keep both Strus and guard Gabe Vincent, and it appears that keeping Vincent is the higher priority.
The Pacers are without question looking for veteran help on the wing, adding to the promising roster that features the likes of Tyrese Haliburton and Bennedict Mathurin, as we as veterans such as Buddy Hield and Myles Turner.
Strus, 27, averaged 11.5 points on 41 percent shooting in 80 games last season, making 35 percent of his 3-pointers.
