The Kings have signed rookie forward Jalen Slawson to a two-way contract, the team announced in a press release.
Slawson is 6-foot-7 and was selected by the Kings out of Furman in the second round (No. 54 overall) of the 2023 NBA Draft. He was named both Southern Conference Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year last season.
Slawson, 23, averaged 15.6 points and 7.1 rebounds, shooting 56 percent from the field and 39 percent on 3-pointers. He also compiled 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks, showing that he was a mid-major 3-and-D.
Slawson and Furman stunned Virginia in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in March.
