The Hawks have officially acquired guard Patty Mills in a trade with the Thunder, Atlanta announced in a press release.
In exchange, the Thunder will receive forward Rudy Gay, point guard TyTy Washington, center/forward Usman Garuba and a future second-round pick.
Atlanta marks the fourth team for Mills this summer. He started the offseason with the Nets, was then traded to the Rockets, then flipped to the Thunder. He will now serve as a reserve scorer behind the Hawks’ starting backcourt of Trae Young and Dejounte Murray.
Meanwhile, Gay was acquired by the Hawks from the Jazz on July 7, while Garuba and Washington were acquired from the Rockets a day later.
Mills, 34, has long been one of the league’s most-reliable players off the bench. He averaged 6.1 points on 41 percent shooting in 40 games last season. That included 37 percent on 3-pointers.
“Patty was an exemplary representative of the Nets during his two years in Brooklyn, both for his contributions on the court and his impact in the community,” Nets general manager Sean Marks said in a statement. “We thank Patty for all he has brought to our organization and wish him and Alyssa nothing but the best in their next chapter.”
Mills has also spent time with the Trail Blazers and Spurs.
