The Nets have signed guard Armoni Brooks to a two-way contract and waived power forward RaiQuan Gray, the team announced in a pair of press releases. Gray was also on a two-way deal.
Brooks, 25, has appeared in a total of 74 games for the Rockets and Raptors since the start of the 2020-21 season, averaging 6.9 points on 37 percent shooting. He was waived by the Hawks before the start of last season.
His best stint as a pro came in Houston when he averaged 6.2 points in 41 games in 2020-21. That is, unless you count his stretch in this month’s NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, where he averaged 17.8 on 48 percent shooting on 3-pointers.
Gray, 25, is 6-8 and spent each of the past two seasons with the Long Island Nets of the G League, before signing a two-way deal with the parent club in April. He has appeared in one NBA game.
Brooks joins power forward Jalen Wilson as Brooklyn’s two-way players. For the first time, teams are allowed to sign three two-way players this season.
