Warriors Signing Langston Galloway To Camp Deal

The Warriors are signing free agent guard Langston Galloway to a training camp contract, according to Shams Charania and Anthony Slater of The Athletic.Langston Galloway

Galloway, 29, is 6-foot-1 and appeared in 40 games for the Western Conference champion Suns last season, averaging 4.8 points on 45 percent shooting.

He had a very productive season with the Pistons in 2019-20, averaging 10.3 points and 2.3 rebounds in 66 games. He has also spent time with the Kings, Pelicans and Knicks.

The Warriors have brought in several veteran guards for tryouts recently, including Avery Bradley, Isaiah Thomas and Darren Collison. It’s not known if the addition of Galloway will impact Golden State’s interest in any of the others.

The Warriors’ roster stands at 18 entering training camp, which tips off next week. Thirteen of those deals are guaranteed, so there is room for more.

“The Warriors already have some of their guard rotation sorted out, with Steph Curry and Klay Thompson (after he returns from an Achilles tear) starting and Jordan Poole as the likely first man off the bench,” wrote Michael Knowles of the Mercury News. “Andre Iguodala figures to get some minutes in a ball-handling role.”
