The Kings have signed shooting guard D.J. Steward to a training camp deal, as relayed by Keith Smith of Spotrac.
Steward, 19, is 6-foot-2 and went undrafted after one season at Duke. He then played for the Kings’ summer league team, which won the title in Las Vegas.
He appeared in three of Sacramento’s five summer games, scoring a combined eight points and shooting just 2-of-10 from the field in 25 total minutes.
Steward’s deal is likely an Exhibit 10 contract that could result in him winding up with the G League’s Stockton Kings.
Sacramento released its full 20-man training camp roster on Monday.
