The Warriors have waived shooting guard Quinndary Weatherspoon, the team announced in a press release.
The move came two days after he was signed to a training camp contract, meaning he’s likely headed to the Santa Cruz Warriors of the G League with a guarantee.
Weatherspoon, 25, is 6-foot-3 and appeared in 31 games with the Spurs over the last two seasons. He has also spent plenty of time with the Austin Spurs of the G League. The Spurs selected him in the second round (No. 49 overall) of the 2019 draft.
Weatherspoon carries NBA career averages of 1.9 points and 41 percent shooting.
The Warriors’ roster stood at 19 following the move. Teams can carry 20 during the preseason and 15 during the regular season.
