The Mavericks have waived guard/forward Joe Wieskamp and point guards Mike Miles Jr. and Jordan Walker, the team announced.
Miles had been on a two-way contract, one of two on the Mavs. So they will now still have two two-way deals open. (Shooting guard A.J. Lawson owns the other.)
Wieskamp, 23, appeared in nine games with the Raptors last season after playing 29 with the Spurs the year before that as a rookie. He carries career averages of 9.9 points and 2.5 rebounds, shooting 33 percent from the field.
He was waived by the Raptors on July 17 after signing a pair of 10-day contracts last season, followed by a standard deal in February. The Spurs originally selected him with the No. 41 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.
Walker, 24, is 5-11 and went undrafted out of UAB. Both Walker and Wieskamp appeared in each of the Mavs’ three preseason games.
Miles, 21, is 6-2 and starred at TCU before going undrafted this past summer. He averaged 12.2 points in five Summer League games with Dallas, though he did not play in the preseason.
All three players stand a good chance to land with the Texas Legends, the Mavs’ affiliate in the G League.
