The Trail Blazers have waived forward Kevin Knox and claimed forward Ish Wainright off waivers, the team announced in a press release.
Along with those moves, Portland released center/forward Duop Reath, as first relayed by Sean Highkin of Rose Garden Report.
Wainright, 29, is 6-6 and has spent each of his first two seasons with the Suns. He appeared in 60 games last year, averaging 4.2 points and 2.3 rebounds. Phoenix released him last week.
Knox finished last season with the Blazers, seemingly taking a step forward by averaging 8.5 points and 3.3 rebounds before entering free agency. He was eventually re-signed, but only to an Exhibit 10 deal for training camp.
Duop Reath will also be waived today, in addition to Kevin Knox II, I’m told. Both Reath and Knox are in the mix to stay with the organization in some capacity, likely with the Rip City Remix. Blazers picking up Ish Wainright off waivers from Phoenix as @ShamsCharania reported.
