The Warriors have claimed point guard Jeff Dowtin off waivers, the team announced in a press release.
Dowtin, 24, is 6-foot-0 and went undrafted out of Rhode Island in 2020. He then spent the preseason with Orlando before being waived.
Prior to that, Dowtin played for the champion Lakeland Magic in the G League bubble, averaging 6.5 points and 2.5 assists in 15 games.
Golden State signed Dowtin to a two-way deal after claiming him off waivers. Guard Chris Chiozza holds the Warriors’ other two-way slot.
Both players can appear in up to 50 NBA games, and will likely spend a large chunk of time with the Santa Cruz Warriors of the G League.
