Pacers Guard Caris LeVert: ‘I’m Ready To Go’

Pacers guard Caris LeVert is seemingly nearing a season debut, telling reporters that he feels better after being shut down in the preseason because of a stress fracture in his back.Caris LeVert

“I’m trusting the coaches and medical staff, but I’m ready to go,” LeVert said.

LeVert, 27, appeared in 35 games with the Pacers after a trade with the Nets last season, averaging an impressive 20.7 points and 4.9 assists during his time in Indiana.

The back issue was just the latest setback for both LeVert and the Pacers.

He suffered a gruesome leg injury during the 2018-19 season, then underwent surgery following the trade to Indiana for renal cell carcinoma of his left kidney.

“I don’t know when he will play in games … hopefully soon,” was all Pacers coach Rick Carlisle would offer.
