The 76ers have been linked to available Bulls guard Zach LaVine, but they may just stand pat for the time being. After all, things are going pretty well as is.
Per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the 76ers could hold off on trying to land another star until the summer.
“When (the Sixers) made the James Harden trade with the Clippers, there was a sense they may have to … at the trade deadline, find a star player to be able to keep up with Boston and Milwaukee in the East. They’re showing with this group they can do it maybe without a third star, maybe (do) something around the edges,” Wojnarowski said on NBA Today, via Hoops Rumors.
With Joel Embiid and the rising Tyrese Maxey, the Sixers really only need good health to contend. And maybe some smaller deals near the Feb. 8 trade deadline. But for now, it seems, they feel no need to make a splash.
