Mavericks star guard Luka Doncic will practice on Monday with the hopes that he will play on Tuesday, coach Jason Kidd told reporters, via Mark Medina of NBA.com.
Dallas (9-7) lost to the Clippers on Sunday, with the two teams meeting again Tuesday. Doncic suffered ankle and knee sprains and has missed three straight games, including the previous two vs. the Suns. The Mavs have lost them all.
“It was weird also playing without Luka.” Mavs forward Kristaps Porzingis told reporters. “He’s normally orchestrating all the offense, and now we’re kind of out there looking at each other like what are we going to run?”
Doncic, 22, is 6-foot-7 and averaging 24.9 points, 8.3 rebounds and 7.9 assists in 13 games this season.
