The Chicago Bulls have re-signed guard Javonte Green for the remainder of the season, waiving guard Terry Taylor in the process, per the NBA transactions log.
Green, 30, is 6-foot-4 and signed a 10-day contract with the Bulls on March 23, appearing in three games and recording averages of 5.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, 0.7 assists, and 55 percent shooting.
That deal expired earlier this week.
This is just his latest stint with the Bulls, as he spent time with the organization off and on from 2020-23. He had been playing this season for the Santa Cruz Warriors, Golden State’s affiliate in the NBA G League.
Last season, Green appeared in 32 games with Chicago, averaging 5.2 points and 2.8 rebounds, shooting 56 percent from the field and 32 percent on 3-pointers.
He signed a training camp deal with the Warriors in October, only to be waived a few days later. In 10 games with Santa Cruz, he compiled averages of 12.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.3 steals.
Green has appeared in 186 NBA games total with the Bulls and Boston Celtics. He has also spent time with the Maine Red Claws of the NBA G League.
In 2021, Green was traded by the Celtics with Daniel Theis to the Bulls, with the Celtics receiving Luke Kornet and Moritz Wagner in a three-team trade involving the Washington Wizards.
Taylor initially signed a two-way contract with the Bulls last February as a rookie, shortly after being waived by the Indiana Pacers. He then signed with Chicago again in August.
Taylor, 24, is 6-5 and appeared in 32 games this season, averaging 1.5 points, 1.2 rebounds, 0.3 assists and shooting 51 percent from the field, 22 percent on 3-pointers and 80 percent from the free-throw line.
He appeared in a combined 31 NBA games with the Pacers and Bulls last season.
Chicago (36-40) entered Friday in ninth place in the Eastern Conference standings and is headed for another run in the play-in tournament.
