Mavericks guard/forward Luka Doncic is expected to be sidelined for “multiple games” with a sore left ankle, according to Marc Stein of The Stein Line.
Doncic, 22, is 6-foot-7 and has experienced “persistent left ankle soreness,” Stein wrote, adding that the Mavs are still determining a timetable for his return.
Doncic admittedly arrived at training camp in less-than-ideal shape, but has still managed to average averaging 25.6 points, 8.5 assists and 8.0 rebounds in 21 appearances this season — the Mavs’ first under coach Jason Kidd.
Entering Sunday’s game vs. the Thunder, the Mavs (12-13) had lost seven of 10.
