Kings’ Asking Price For Buddy Hield Said To Be ‘Hefty’

As we relayed Monday, the Kings have made both shooting guard Buddy Hield and center Marvin Bagley III available, as reported by Jason Anderson of the Sacramento Bee.

But apparently, rival teams won’t be able to just get Hield for nothing … or even next-to-nothing.

Per veteran insider Jordan Schultz, the Kings’ asking price for Hield is “hefty.” But Schultz added, it is also “feasible.”

Schultz went on to write that Hield’s “3-point shooting (40 percent career) and overall scoring ability could be a huge boost to a contending team searching for added floor spacing.”

Hield had been linked to the Lakers during the offseason, with the sides reportedly coming extremely close to a trade. (The Lakers opted for the Russell Westbrook trade with the Wizards instead.)

Now, the Kings are looking to move around some pieces in hopes of finally becoming a playoff contender and re-energizing the fan base.

That said, it appears they want to stick with young guards De’Aaron Fox (considered off-limits), Tyrese Haliburton and Davion Mitchell. That makes Hield their most desirable backcourt player in trade talks.

Hield, 28, is 6-foot-4 and averaging 15.6 points and 4.1 rebounds. He has been a pro’s pro during his time in Sacramento and it is believed he would be just fine with staying.

The Nuggets, Knicks, 76ers and Raptors are believed to some of the teams with an interest in Hield.
