The Magic are planning to sign center Freddie Gillespie to a 10-day contract, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Orlando has undergone a COVID outbreak lately, with the NBA postponing the Magic’s game Monday vs. the Raptors.
Gillespie, 24, is 6-foot-9 and appeared in 20 games with the Raptors last season, averaging 5.6 points and 4.9 rebounds. He went undrafted by the NBA out of Baylor in 2020 and has also spent time in the G League with the Memphis Hustle.
Along with Gillespie, the Magic recently signed Admiral Schofield, B.J. Johnson, Hassani Gravett and Aleem Ford to 10-day deals.
More than 60 players have entered protocols across the NBA through Sunday evening.
